We are very pleased to welcome you to Woody’s Retreat!
Our goal was to create a calm oasis for guests to get away from the world, and our Shepherd’s Hut is the result. Woody’s Retreat was named for the woodpeckers that frequent the nearby wood and can occasionally be spotted enjoying our bird-feeders! It is located on a working farm, though the hut is situated in its own private lot where you will not be disturbed. We are committed to making your stay convenient, comfortable, and enjoyable.
We have lived at Rod Hill Barn (located across the lane from the hut) for over 30 years, raising 4 children and now having great fun being grandparents! Both of us are from farming families, local to the Bowland area for 3 generations. We are also avid members of the local drama group; and have been producing and acting in plays and pantomimes for many years.
Claire has run a successful holiday cottage in the local town of Clitheroe for many years, and the guestbook is filled with glowing compliments. Our hope is that Woody’s Retreat will offer you exactly the kind of getaway you are looking for, and we look forward to welcoming you.
